What if Halloween and Christmas had a baby? It might look a little like Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, showing at the Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday, October 25 at 7PM. .
Just as Halloween would be a bust if Santa were in charge of it for a year, so too would Christmas fall apart if Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King made a go of Christmas.
It seems fitting that this one falls on the 25th! We showed it back in December of 2012. It’s a MUCH better fit for Halloween than Christmas! Bring the whole clan down for an oddly festive Halloween movie!
We’ll have a friendly costume contest for those Nightmare Before Christmas themed outfits with prizes. Also if you want to bring a carved Jack O’Lanturn we will toss a fake candle in it, give you a free popcorn and decorate the stage.
Doors open at 6:00pm and show begins at 7:00pm. General admission seating (first come, first serve). Tickets only available online for $9 until 1pm day of show. (after 1pm the day of the show they are no longer available online.) If the show has not sold out tickets are only available at The Egyptian Theatre box office for $11 until 15 minutes after showtime.
Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween — but alas, they can’t get it quite right.
